Twitter Prohibited During World Cup

Link2Mobile. WorldCup. Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Netherlands, Germany, Argentina, the UK banned the use of Twitter.

During the events, FIFA World Cup in South Africa, it turns out the players from some teams could not send a Tweet, poke, buzz, checkins, like, or others to inform their presence on social networking site.

It is no strange thing if the coach forbids sex and alcohol during the World Cup performances take place. However, slowly but surely, the ban also start reaching social media sites, including Twitter.

So far, as quoted from Mashable, June 14, 2010, players from Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Netherlands, Germany, Argentina, and England banned using Twitter.

Marcelo Bielsa, coach of Chile instead insisted on his players to not use all the social networking service social activities and even non-internet when the team was not playing.

In the United States, has implemented a similar ban last season in the sport of American football and basketball. NFL players, for instance, were forbidden to use social media during a game in progress and 90 minutes after and before the game.
