IBM: Firefox, I Have!

Link 2 Mobile. IBM embrace Mozilla Firefox to be their main browser. Thus, 'the fox fire' would be planted in all of IBM's new product.

As quoted on Friday (02/07/2010), IBM VP of Open Source Bob Sutor tarkait make comments on his blog. "We officially added the taste of new software, which will be used for all employees. The software is a Mozilla Firefox browser," wrote Sutor.

With this, 400,000 IBM's employees worldwide, 'compulsory' use Firefox as main browser.

In his blog, Sutor also explained that Firefox could become a more open a standard browser, and secure than other browsers. Sutor personally believe that Firefox can control the browser wars that exist today.

Firefox is now open source browser that runs well on Windows, Linux or Mac. According sutor, cloud computing is one motivating factor for users to choose open-source browsers.
